Halloween Wedding at The Millstone

Brandi and Aaron FINALLY had the wedding of their dreams at The Millstone in Limestone, TN after being married for ten years. It was so rainy and cold that day but it only added to the mood of their “Til Death” Halloween themed wedding. I’ve been dying (pun intended) to shoot a wedding like this for years now. It was so much fun and they even changed into their Halloween costumes during the reception. Brandi looked absolutely AMAZING throughout the whole day and shooting at The Millstone never gets old. Sooo excited to finally share these on the blog.

Emily and Ethan had a beautiful spring wedding at a gorgeous venue called Hidden Meadows just outside Greeneville, TN. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. Emily first stumbled across my work when her cousin used me a couple years ago. It’s always an honor when someone chooses me for their big day but it’s a little extra special when the same family uses me multiple times. The story of how they started dating is hilarious. Boho Wedding at Waterstone Venue

 

Kaylee and Zach made all my boho dreams come true at their Waterstone Wedding. I’ve been obsessed with the use of macrame and pampas grass in wedding decor since I first saw it. And while I can’t believe how long it took for me to shoot a wedding with that style, it was definitely worth the wait. Their entire wedding day could not have been more beautiful and these two couldn’t have been any cuter together. Kaylee’s cheerful personality lights up any room she enters and it’s easy to see that she is the sun that Zach’s entire world revolves around. They were both going to ETSU at the time they met but didn’t have any classes together. It wasn’t until Zach messaged her on Instagram that they started talking. Beauty Spot Engagement

Shae and Scott set FIRE to the mountain tops during their engagement session at Beauty Spot in Erwin, TN. I feel like I’ve really gotten to know these two over the last year especially after spending almost three hours up on the mountain with them that evening. They first met when Scott popped up as someone that Shae may know on Facebook. She thought he was cute so she added him and the rest is history. The day Scott proposed, he was “looking at hunting spots” first at Shae’s grandparent’s house and then at her aunt’s. While she was waiting, her mom asked if she wanted to go to her aunt’s house to see her cousins. She of course said yes and when they got there, she walked around the corner and saw him standing inside a heart made of rose petals. She immediately knew she’d been set up but in the best way possible. Everyone was in on it and it was absolutely perfect. They’re tying the knot later today and I couldn’t think of a more perfect time to share their engagement session on the blog! (more…)

Greenwood Oaks Farm Wedding

I had the honor of working with a literal dream team to create this styled shoot for a brand new venue that just opened up called Greenwood Oaks Farm. All I can say is WOW!!! They absolutely KILLED it. I was supposed to do this shoot with photographer friend and past KSP Bride, Alissa Moore, but sadly she was unable to attend due to a death in the family. Our hearts were completely broken for her but unfortunately we weren’t able to reschedule at the last minute.. Please take a minute to check out the amazing vendors listed below. Margarette Falls Elopement

Margarette Falls Elopement

Amanda and Brandon tied the knot at Margarette Falls which is just north of the Great Smoky Mountains in Greeneville, TN. It may not have been what they originally had in mind but it was absolutely beautiful. Because of Covid, they (like so many other couples) had to make some really hard decisions about whether to keep their wedding as planned or to move it to a later date. In the end, they decided to elope on their original date and to push their big wedding celebration to a later date. Not only is Margarette Falls beautiful, it’s also special to them because they hike it often as a family. While my heart was breaking for them, I’ve always loved how intimate elopements like this are. Just two people, an officiant, and me out in the middle of the woods… Such an awesome way to spend an afternoon.

Same Sex Wedding at Carniegie Hotel

So much love and joy surrounded Tasha and Victoria during their courtyard wedding at the Carnegie Hotel in Johnson City, TN. A wedding that was almost EIGHT YEARS in the making. Honestly, it was probably longer because they were close friends for two years before they even started dating. They first met at ETSU during a college prep program they were both part of. Megan and David’s anniversary session in Greeneville was straight FIREEEEE. They’re just one of those couples who makes everyone else jealous. I mean the fact that they’re still this sweet and in love after ten years says it all. As amazing as the session was, getting there was WAY harder. I lost count of the number of times that we had to reschedule due to rain. It got really frustrating for all of us, especially when one of the days was the anniversary of when they started dating… How sweet would that have been?! (Cue the tears!!) I just adore these two. I’ve had the honor of doing their maternity, family, and now anniversary photos. Each time I think there’s no way we can “top” it but somehow we always do. I’m so thankful for amazing couples like them and for warm sunny days like this. (more…)

Storybrook Farm Elopement

I kicked off wedding season with the SWEETEST elopement at Storybrook Farm in Jonesborough, TN. Catherine and Brandon started dating three years ago after one of his employees backed another customer’s car into hers at the oil change place he managed. He popped the question at home and when the time came to start planning their wedding, they decided to elope. They found Storybrook Farm online and immediately fell in love with it. Brittany and Drew have known each other for a really, really long time. They were actually born ten minutes apart, in the same hospital, in rooms right beside each other. She said her mom got the doctor first so she’s older. lol While they were being born, her dad was out in the hall with his grandmother discussing switching them because he wanted a boy and she wanted a girl.
